List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?
1) Kingdom Woman by Dr.Tony Evans and his daughter Chrystal.
I am seeking to grow in Godliness and boldness to be a better woman of God, wife and mother after being rejected in places I used to hold dearly. And to be prepared to effectively use my spiritual gifts in an ever increasing evil world. This audio book has many Bible truths and authors personal stories that have impacted and expanded my mind and Spirit. It is inspiring and encouraging with clear points to grow practical ways daily. My expectations are changing and evolving and this book helps to fortify my mind that I am moving in the right direction this season.
2) Believe For It by Priscilla (Cece Winans) Love
I cried reading about the importance of leaving a holy and righteous kingdom faith legacy. Her story about her upbringing in a big household where her parents were intentional on faith and fun brought joy to my heart. We see glimpses of the hard work that her young parents did by raising children to fear God by being Godly examples, exposing them to the word of God and bringing them to Godly places including church. I am reminded that my desire to please God, live for God and train Timothy up with Godly principles is the right thing to do!
3) Little Timothy Faith — my first published children’s book Tameeka Griffith
Growing up in Grenada with my maternal grandmother -Veronica Vitalis Bartholomew, in the countryside was special. I loved being with my Granny and I know she loved me. I enjoyed seeing her work hard at home and in her gardens. She was strong and friendly. She took me to Sabbath school and stopped my swinging legs at church at St. Patrick’s Seventh Day Adventist Church services. I enjoyed playing with my dollies and dolly wares under her wooden house. Sitting outside with my uncle Zanda, Aunty Anne and my cousins Camillo, Garvin, Lyndell and Ria outside to watch Granny make guava cheese or roast corn over coal pots are some of my fondest memories.
I wrote a Little Timothy Faith book to share a bit of my life with my grandmother and to share my experiences with my youngest brother, Kyle. Little Timothy is a mixture of Kyle and I. I want all children to get to know that Jesus is real for themselves and for parents to be encouraged to have faith talks with their children. I also wanted to share a bit of Grenada, our exciting simple life on a beautiful lush island of spice with the world!
