Mother’s Day Happiness

I am grateful to stop and smell the roses and to enjoy a good laugh from the hilarious card on the right mailed to me from my best friend since Anglican High School.

My husband surprised me with two dozen roses!! One from him-the yellow bunch and another from Timothy 🥰🥰. I also received a red rose from Church. I watched service from home with Timothy.

Mother’s Day 2021 was delightful! I did not go to Krab Kings or got my nails done as originally planned but I did enjoy my day.

This year, I feel more secure, confident and grateful to be a Mother! Took me four years to really even glimpse what a blessing it is to be chosen to be a mother! I thank God for His grace, favor, help, support from others who I didn’t expect to get help from, wisdom, examples, patience and love! I was not a child who grew up with dreams of motherhood or plans to be a mother and homemaker! I trust God more and I look forward to more exciting days, hard lessons and rewarding blessings!

My friends from church– Karen and Delphine and Jarve were at Timothy’s party and they did the clean up afterwards. They did the dishes and partly reorganized my kitchen. We had good laughs and heartwarming and inspiring conversations. I am grateful for their time and love in action!

On Wednesday night, Jarve came over and braided my hair as a Mother’s Day gift to me. I appreciate her sacrifice, time and love in action.

Deon gave me a heartfelt note (because he doesn’t like cards😩🤣) and some cash–My fav! I also got gifts from Min E, Meme Perkins, Cheoma and my mom. Friends and family sent their well wishes. I am grateful for each call, text, post and card. Another favorite was a Mother’s Day prayer from Sis Pryor.

I plan to celebrate being a mom more often! By the end of the night, I winded down with some chips and a movie only to have Timothy come out asking for milk and cereal. I paused to laugh! Aww. Motherhood!
