2nd Grade is here!!

A huge shout out to Education dot com for the many helpful tools and resources!!

I have to pinch myself and just say WHAAAATTTT Timothy is 7 years young and about to enter second grade!! WHAAAATTTT!! And I am Homeschooling!!!!!! Breathe. Jesus. Are you sureee God!???

Ever since I found out that I was pregnant — WHATTTT MEEEEE!!? HOW? 🤣😂 then homeschool???! Whatttt?!? Meee? God are you sureeee!!! 

Well. I want to obey. I want to do what’s best for our little family at this time. I am learning to embrace the sacrifices and just trust God day by day, year by year!! And to learn to be the Best homeschool teacher I can be for Timothy!! I am so grateful for the Texas Home school coalition, Khan academy and education dot com – all digital resources as well as workshops and webinars where I can ask questions or just listen to learn from other parents.

I am eternally grateful for the parents who God has placed in my circle who have homeschooled or are homeschooling or know of others who homeschool!! The Gordans (Regina), the Townsends (Letricia), Nicole and people I’ve met on playgrounds and on Facebook!! Dr.Voodie Buchanan and The Evans (Jonathan and family, Chrystal Evans Hurst and family). We am not alone. I may be the only Grenadian American family that is homeschooling that I know of but none of that matters as much as being obedient to God and doing what is Best for Timothy at this time. Happy New School year to everyone! My prayer is for safety and protection physically and mentally for all students! I am praying for parents to stay alert and involved and to keep doing the best they can for their children and families. I am praying for all learning institutions to do what is expected — educate! Educate on what is needed for life and Godliness! Protect the children from harm! Teach age appropriate subjects! Praying for everyone who helps ensure that students get to become successful in every way! And I am praying for a homeschool community for Timothy and me this year!
