Bruises on Black skin

Only because the internet doesn’t have enough photos of bruises on Black skin.

At the Day Care, we are taught and shown pictures of how to recognize bruises and the different colors. Black and blue show more than the yellow on some darker complexions.

We all bleed red. We all can show signs or bruising.

I wonder if slave masters thought since it didn’t show up much on darker slaves, that they were not hurt or didn’t feel as much pain?? Bruising misconceptions…

The second purpose of the post is for us mom’s who bump into a child’s toy on the floor to pay closer attention instead of saying OUCH and move on. Take care of THY own self! And be consistent with the PUT YOUR TOYS AWAY rule!!
