Maintain a healthy eating lifestyle in America

What was the hardest personal goal you’ve set for yourself?

Where it is very hard to find healthy foods from the ground and sea. Additives, chemicals, processing and profits for the companies and the FDA does not care. Even growing your own food, the soil and seeds cannot be trusted.

We continue to pray over our foods, read labels, grow what we can, shop local and farmers markets (need to make time to do this more) and then hope for the best and look out for recalls.

In Grenada, we have the richest volcanic soil. We have all organic all natural grown fruits and veggies and provisions from the ground. Spices and seasonings are all natural. Poultry are all free range and they are not pumped to be fatten for consumption with junk. We are junk food or fast food as a rotten treat 😅😂 fried chicken and chips aka French fries were perhaps a twice a year thing before it became extra popular. I did not know how blessed I was to have home cooked meals all week long from my grandmother, uncle, aunts, mom, stepdad and cousin. In America, convenience kills us slowly. Drive thru for foods to quickly fill hungry bellies, lifestyle of little exercise and less water especially in low income neighborhoods — kills just like drugs.

As I learn from high school biology, Dr Sibi and Coach Rochelle T Parks, I do my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle for my American family living in Texas.
