Timothy bit my finger so
Do you know the song, 1, 2,3,4, 5 once I caught a fish alive…
So I was feeding Timothy home baked french fries because it was fresh out the oven and I didn’t want to hear him complaining about how hot it was. With me feeding him, I can blow on the fry to help ‘cool’ it then I dipped a long fry into the chick FIL a sauce and expected him to just bite a piece. Instead he kept biting and bit the tip of my index finger AND kept biting down hard!
I was shocked, hurt and angry! Mostly hurt and surprised.
I raised my voice and screamed in anguish and I also slapped him.
Why do children do things like that!?! Why would you bite the hand that feeds you?? This verse came to mind and I also recall a friend’s son just punching her in the stomach!!–
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

It is sudden. It is hurtful. Sometimes I know that he is being playful and does not mean do sad things and I understand.
Children will do what may be considered wrong or inappropriate or straight out foolish! The bible says so!! I did when I was a child and Timothy is not yet an adult. My aim is to work on being the most loving mother who teaches, exemplifies and trains Timothy as the Bible instructs.
I offered him chicken and green beans so that he can sit and eat the now cooler fries by himself. I apologized for my reaction and talked to Timothy about how he hurt my finger. He apologized to me. We don’t hurt the ones we love. It is not okay to bite someone who feeds you!!
