Dr. Tony Evans Stepping Away From Senior Pastoral Duties ‘Due to Sin’
Deon and I grew up in Grenada listening to his radio broadcast. Dr. Evans is one of my favorite Pastors and preachers. I also like that he was married to a Caribbean/South American Lois from Guyana 🙂. His ministry and legacy of being faithful and training up his family God’s kingdom way will serve as one of the best examples for all Christians across the world!
I just came across the news on my CBN app. My eyes widened …whattt…While he has committed no crimes, nor attended Diddy parties (far as we know)…he is stepping down as Senior Pastor.
Here are my thoughts after browsing through the article…

Be careful less we fall
Get life insurance and Blessed Assurance in Jesus Christ alone!! Learning to admire and be inspired BUT not idolize ANY MAN OR WOMAN FOR ANY REASON.
JUST last week I was talking with God and saying Father as much as I admire Dr Evans and OCBF and what they have going, I do not want to idolize him or his church or anyone! It saddens my heart but I am not grossly devastated! Blessings to him and his family and may we all PRAY FOR THE SAINTS EVEN MORE AS THE TIME OF JESUS’ RETURN DRAWS CLOSER!
