Pledge of allegiance

Timothy says, after listening to the #pledgeofallegiance for the first time
“I didn’t know the State of America knows God.” 🤔😱

So I asked him what makes you think that?

“We’re Christians and we know God.” 🤗👏🏾

Then I said well we are told that America was built by christians which is why it says one nation #underGod in the pledge.

I am teaching him all of this as part of the #goodcitizenship#homeschoolkindergarten
Requirements/suggestions and because I believe it is important to know as part of American history. As an adult and through his own experiences and observations, he can decide whether to say it or be loyal or be respectful to the stars and stripes 🙂🇺🇸🇺🇸
As Christians, we have a duty first to God. We become kingdom of heaven citizens and ambassadors on earth. We are also commanded to respect our country and obey the laws of the land (with common sense and biblical worldview).
