Happy Independence to Grenada

The land of my birth celebrates it’s 52nd year of independence on today, February 7th, 2026. I am grateful that we were able to watch the live military parade on YouTube. That was my favourite part of the day as a child. My mom would take my siblings and I to the national stadium to see the parade and other festivities. My uncles and stepfather were police officers which brought a greater sense of pride and honour. My favourite meal is still our national dish- oil down.

You can find out much more about Grenada on www.puregrenada.com. I feel blessed to have been born on a safe island surrounded by family, friends, fruits, flora and fauna. I miss them all and I miss our balmy beaches. I am grateful that we are here in North America, embracing the opportunities and following the plans God has for our family of 3. I am also grateful that we can call Grenada, Home and go visit friends and family often.

Here is my family’s YouTube channel. I shared an independence post and you can check it out and more bright videos here https://www.youtube.com/@momeetamee007.
