Hair hair and more

Wigs! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

I am not as skilled in doing hair as my aunt and cousins, I do not have their skills or passion for hair.

I like changing my hair from time to time. I have started to embrace wigs after working at HHSC and the hours became longer and more challenging to make time for my stylist. My very first wig was 1B, a long bob with bangs. My coworker at the State had a long blond mixed wig that she no longer wanted. Yep, I was happy to start building my wig collection ๐Ÿ˜…โ˜บ๏ธ

I am not fussy about my hair. I like it clean and manageable and easy to sleep in. Beyonce was definitely right when she sang Pretty Hurts ๐Ÿ˜…. I am already pretty so refuse to enhance my beauty at the cost of pain more often than necessary!

I also had a short Marron wig which I barely wore. I wore it to church once and to Deon’s graduation. I gave it away after that event. I had short hairstyles, long braids and weaves, twists and curls. I wore my hair out wild and had it sleek into ponytails. Keeping up with trendy hairstyles is not a goal for me.

Now, I am aware that not all of the styles or wigs for me perfectly ๐Ÿคฃ. It’s fun to try new styles. I admire those who have a new style everyday or every week! It’s amazing to see their creations. I have asked the Holy Spirit to help me style my hair many times and it came out great. A few years ago after Timothy was born, I got a headband wig and it became my favorite quick and easy hair piece.

The last wig that I bought was a short bob with highlights from Amazon. It was for my book signing in 2022.ย  I could not decide whether to wear it or my short twist style. At the last minute, I decided to not wear the wig and left it in the church bathroom with extra clothes. At the end of the book signing, I could not find my clothes nor the wig. Someone stole my wig!! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜”

This year, I bought my last inexpensive (still an investment) wig. It is a shoulder length, asymmetrical lace front wig. I like it. It represents a professional, beautiful sophisticated and serious Tameeka. My vision for 2025 is to thrive in every way possible and work on becoming a high income earning entrepreneur homemaker/homeschooler.
